The transition lines between copywriter and content writer are blurring. Furthermore, the following are the parameters based on which we can distinguish between the two:
- It’s mandatory for copywriters to write as few words as possible and if feasible no words at all; just logo with tagline. Whereas, content writers sometimes write in volumes such as web content, blog, articles, social media content.
- Copywriters are required to write short and crisp messages and content explains things by creating a story.
- Copywriters work primarily with landing pages such as home page, email, newsletter subscriptions, cover pages, etc. Content writers are hired to writer internal pages.
- The job role of copywriters is tuned with all aspect of a page including design, font, layout color combination, theme etc. Content writers work with text only.
